Outline plan: OK, come and meet at whatever point suits you.. Spoons h.west at 9am for breakfast! Then at the container for 10am. Could a key holder please let me know if they will be there of if I can get hold of a key from them, thanks. Get to Newport Parrog for around 11am, recommend you car share where possible to make parking easier. Briefing 11:30 - 11:45. It's a sea kayak trip, suitable for all abilities, lots of fun rock-hopping there at what will be low water, pebble beaches for a relaxed late lunch. Please bring helmets, plenty of water/fluids, sun protection, a good lunch and snacks. Should be warm but pack an extra layer and cag keep any wind chill off. Don't bring any time constraints. Expected condtions: Forecast to be dry and sunny, up to 17mph wind from s/w, 2.5 foot swell from s/w. Newport bay offers some shelter from the swell and the worst of the wind. No tidal issues or tide races to tackle in the bay, a host of pebble beaches to exit/rest/picnic on. Low water in the afternoon will provide loads of good rock-hopping. Conditions should be suitable for all club members. Estuary access from near the slip will mean we don't have a long carry.
