Estimated Duration: 1 - 1 1/2 hrs
Outline plan: Meet at Sandy Haven for 6:30 pm. High tide 7pm so we'll explore up the river and look for phosphorescence. Either it will be clear and we'll have a magical moonlit paddle, or it'll be cloudy and darker for seeing the phosphorescence. Parking and unloading down at the water is minimal so use car park by caravan site and be prepared to carry/trolley boats down. Car park has a height restriction so high vans have no access. This trip is suitable for all abilities in any boat or canoe. You will need lights. On the water the point is to be seen by us other paddlers and not to light your way. We don't want to dazzle each other or lose night vision. Blue lights are good and glow sticks are fine. If possible, your light should be visible from all directions - on your head or more than one light/glow stick on your boat. We'll be at container for 18:00 if anyone signs up and asks for kit but we can't transport.
Expected condtions: Big wind Big tide Big moon!! We will be in the sheltered river inlet with a high spring tide allowing us to explore along its length.
